I was born in Fort Benning, Georgia, in 1978. I grew up in a large family that moved often while my parents were in the military. We finally settled in Utah when I was almost ten years old.
I’ve been happily married to my high school sweetheart since 1998 and we have adopted six incredible children who have changed my life in the best possible way.
I have always loved writing. I started creating stories at an early age. I donated my first book to my class library when I was in the fourth grade. As I grew older, I accumulated a collection of short stories and ideas. I continued to write down poems and thoughts whenever they came to me. When I was in my twenties I attended several writing courses. I also participated in a review and critique class where I had to find the courage to share my work. Not long after that I set my writing aside for more than a decade to raise my family. It wasn’t until my teenage daughters found one of my old manuscripts and begged me to finish the story that I felt encouraged to start working on my dream again.
